Kitesurfing course plan Level 2 - Intermediate

Module 2 is designed for those who have already completed an introductory kitesurfing course and have mastered all the prerequisites of Module 1.

If you already master the fundamentals of Module 2, learn how to ride upwind and become an independent kitesurfer with Module 3.

BodyDrag in Kitesurfing.

One of the key steps in this course is performing the bodydrag effectively.
While riding, you may lose your board in front or behind you. To recover it, it is essential to be able to move upwind or downwind using only your kite and your body.

Body-dragging with the board allows you, when there is a shore-break, to cross the area where the waves break, making it easier to position yourself for the waterstart.

No Board Leash Please !

Do not rely on the board leash!
On one hand, it is strictly forbidden in most federations due to the dangers it poses, and on the other hand, it greatly limits the progression of kitesurfers.

It is essential to master body-dragging in all conditions to be considered an independent kitesurfer.

Steady-Pull is the key!

All your training has conditioned you for this decisive moment, the waterstart.

In order to succeed in your waterstarts en kitesurf, your position in the water must be perfect. A parallel between your shoulders, the board and your kite.

You are perfectly aligned, you gradually start to move the kite to enter the power zone.
